It’s hard to believe that it is already November! This year seems to be flying by…and Halloween has come and gone! I sure hope that you were able to join us last night for our Forest Festival…we had between 1700-2000 folks come out and join us for all kinds of fun together. I am so proud of all of you who volunteered to help us throw the party! My prayer is that many of our guests from last night will take the time to join us on the weekend and get connected to what God is doing here in the Forest and beyond. Thank you for building lives that honor God!
This past Sunday we launched our Elevate message series! If you missed the message, you can view it at the link below. Make sure that you are staying in the loop on the Elevate Project, it is going to be HUGE in the life of Vaughn Forest Church and I am so excited to see what God is going to do in our lives and in the lives of those around us through it!
With that said, if you are interested in making an early financial commitment to the Elevate Project, then let me invite you to one of several “Vision/Early Commitment Meals” that we are having on November 9th at 6:15 PM and November 10th at 11:30 AM and 6:15 PM. If you would like to be included in these meals and are willing to make an early financial commitment, please call the church office to RSVP at 334-279-5433.
Today we began 20 days of prayer and fasting as a church family! I truly believe that God is going to use these 20 days to transform our church and our lives. If you are getting this email, then you are already signed up to receive the daily devotional. If you want a paper copy, simply stop by the Elevate Table out on the Pathway in the lobby.
Remember to “Serve One, Worship One” here in the Forest! With all of our new guests we need folks that can help teach kids, lead student groups, and serve in many other areas around our church such as greeters, parking lot teams, hospitality, and more. It’s important that folks feel welcomed when they join us and that we make a great first impression! Finally, now that the Forest Festival has come and gone it is almost time for our Christmas Party on Friday, December 2nd, from 6:00-8:00 PM! Mark your calendars now, I know that our Creative Teams have been putting together ideas and details for this event all year long and I cannot wait for it to be here!
