I am so excited to be back home! This past week, myself and a team from Vaughn Forest Church had the incredible experience of going to the Middle East and connecting with foreign labor workers to tell them all about Jesus Christ. God moved in such a HUGE way! We had over 700 of these men attend our gatherings as we shared the gospel, with 556 Compassion Kits distributed as well as 258 professions of faith in Jesus and 22 baptisms. Isn’t that so awesome?!? And the great thing is that you can get involved in helping make it happen through our Compassion Kits Campaign!

What are Compassion Kits? Well, men who are living in labor camps, via mission efforts, are becoming Christ followers by the thousands. These men are then sharing the life changing message of Jesus and planting churches in their native countries! Here in the Forest, we can help fuel this movement by packing a Compassion Kit. Compassion kits are a way to share a loving gift and a compelling message with men that live in the labor camps of the Middle East. They are small boxes containing basic hygiene items. These small gifts, when given through the loving channels of our lives, meet a real need in the lives of these men and help open the door for them to know Jesus. Go to the share table pick up an empty box and packing instructions. Bring back the filled box on or before Easter. Each kit costs around $25 to assemble, including a $10 donation for a phone calling card. For more info on Compassion Kits, click here.

Please be praying for our students and adults who are on a mission this week in the Dominican Republic. God is working through them in a big way and I cannot wait for you to hear all about what they are doing.

Remember, Easter weekend is only 4 weeks away! I am so excited to celebrate Easter with you. We have some incredible events happening that weekend.

We will start things off with our Resurrection Run on Saturday, April 15th, at 8:00 AMwhich consists of a 5K and 1 Mile fun run. To register, click here!

Then, at 10:00 AM, we will begin our Spring in the Forest Party complete with inflatables, face painting, an Easter animal petting zoo, and a HUGE Easter Egg Hunt! Make sure you invite your friends and family.

Finally, we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 16th, at 9:30 and 11:00 AM. Easter is a great time to invite folks in your life to the church and I certainly hope you will do so. We will have incredible music, a great message, and may just a few surprises to make it the highlight of your Easter Weekend. I cannot wait to see you there!
