Can you believe that the Christmas Season is here? It seems like just yesterday we were all planning our Summer vacations and now it is the most wonderful time of the year! I love this time of year and I am so excited to celebrate the birth of Jesus all season long withFriday night
king of Christmas, how incredible was our Christmas party this past Friday night?!? We had over 2500 people come out to ring in the Christmas season with us and 20% of those who came indicated that they do not regular attend a church. I am so excited that Vaughn Forest is the kind of church that reaches out to our community to have events that those far from God are willing to come be a part of. It was fun, exciting, engaging, and God-honoring. I cannot wait to see the results and fruit from the Christmas party over the next few weeks and months. I am so proud of you all! If you served at the event, helped prepare for the event, or just attended and invited people to come, I cannot thank you enough!
I am also really excited to continue our “When Love Came To Town” Christmas Series this Sunday morning! Join us at 9:30 or 11:00 AM as we continue to dive into the true reason for the season. Remember that beginning this Sunday, December 11th, you can pick up your “Home For Christmas” DVD here at Vaughn Forest! This DVD is meant for you and your family to watch on Christmas Day, Sunday the 25th, as we will not be having services that day. Instead, we will offer two options for Christmas Services on Friday, December 23rd at 6:00 PM, and Saturday, December 24th, at 4:00 PM here in the Forest. We want to make sure to give our volunteers and staff the opportunity to spend Christmas morning at home with their families, and we hope that you will pick up a “Home For Christmas” DVD and join us all across the River Region on Christmas Day.
