God is after our hearts, and as any parent can tell you, we demonstrate where our heart is based on our level of obedience. Almost nowhere in the Bible is this better illustrated than with the story of King Saul, the first King of Israel. He was picked by God, anointed by the prophet Samuel, and through a series of disobedient decisions to the Lord ultimately ends his reign in disgrace. So what is the lesson for us here?
