Five hundred and forty-four times in the Bible God is referred to as “Holy.” The holiness of God is His primary attribute. Around God’s throne all manner of creatures repeat a chorus of the holiness of God without end. But what does it mean when we say that God is holy? Is it just some sort of “churchy” word that we use, or does it have some deeper significance?
The holiness of God is not something that we are supposed to just gloss over. The truth that God is holy has significant impact on our lives.
