Jesus said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” A 2020 interpretation of this verse might say “I will build my church and a global pandemic will not prevail against it.” What a year it has been… And, as we come to the conclusion of this unprecedented year we are reminded that nothing can stop the movement of Jesus’ church.

The generosity of our church family has blown me away this year! In a year where many churches have struggled to make budget, our giving has outpaced our expenditures like never before! This is all because of your generosity, so thank you! It would be easy because of this to just ride out the end of the year without any type of specific focus. But I believe God is calling us to more. I believe God is calling us to give sacrificially so that we can make an even greater kingdom impact in 2021.

It is with this call to action that I would like to let you know about our “Moving Forward” Special Christmas Offering which will go to five specific ministry initiatives in 2021.  There is info on each of these five ministry initiatives below.  Please take some time to read through these and prayerfully consider how God would have you to be a part of this through sacrificial giving.

-Pastor Adam

The “Moving Forward” Special Christmas Offering is a call to sacrificial giving with a goal of $100,000 for five important ministry initiatives:

  • A new local ministry partnership with “Mercy House.”
  • A new global ministry partnership with “Children’s Hope.”
  • Benevolence for our Vaughn Forest family in 2021.
  • To continue to upgrade our Next Generation Ministry Environments.
  • To continue to expand and improve our online presence as a church.

Everyone who calls Vaughn Forest Church home is being asked to give sacrificially to this special offering between now and January 31, 2020.
