Tons of Movement at Vaughn Forest

Well, it finally seems like the cooler weather has arrived! I don’t know about you, but I am excited for it! The year is moving on and we are seeing TONS of movement here in the Forest.

This past Sunday we continued our Elevate message series. For those of you out of the loop on The Elevate Project, please check out more information here. I truly believe that The Elevate Project is going to take our vision and ministry to the next level here at Vaughn Forest. Keep on the lookout for more information on how you can be involved with this incredible opportunity that God has given us.

Speaking of opportunity, make sure that you swing by the Breezeway/KidzForest area this Sunday morning for Super Hero Sunday! We are encouraging all kids to wear their favorite superhero costumes (or any non-scary costumes, really) and celebrate with us as we have some costumed characters join us to take pictures and hang out with the kids, as well as an art showcase displaying your child’s artwork. There will also be a few professional art pieces on display for a silent auction if you would like to participate…all proceeds go to Elevate.

Too, remember that Sunday, November 20th, is Commitment Sunday for The Elevate Project. We will be turning on our commitment cards that day (which you will receive in your bulletin this Sunday, or you can pick one up at the church). I am so excited to see how God will use our generosity to elevate what He is doing in the Forest and around the world!

Finally, remember that it is almost time for our Christmas Party on Friday, December 2nd, from 6:00-8:00 PM! Mark your calendars now, I know that our Creative Teams have been putting together ideas and details for this event all year long and I cannot wait for it to be here! We will have all kinds of fun for you and your family and friends…horse-drawn carriage rides, a live nativity, kiddie polar express train, Disney characters, Christmas snacks, ornament making and crafts, live music…and tons more!

As always, it is a joy to be your pastor. Live sent!
