And immediately, coming up from the water, He [Jesus] saw the heavens parting

and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.

Mark 1:10

I am the Holy Spirit, like a Dove coming to rest gently on you this day, just as I rested on Jesus at His baptism. I am a Dove to light gently upon you to take away your anxieties. I am a Dove to give you peace. But, it’s not just the feeling of peace you need; you need Me, the Holy Spirit, for I am peace. Remember Jesus promises, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you” (John 14:27). When Jesus sends peace, I, the Holy Spirit, deliver it. When I, the Holy Spirit, come into your life, receive My gentle presence as a Dove that is gently coming to rest on you.

Your Prayer

O holy Dove, gently rest upon me to give peace at the center of my storm.

Settle my emotions, and become the controlling peace to every area of my

life. Be a Dove bringing gentleness to my soul.

I am the third Person of the Trinity, like a Dove, lighting upon you so carefully that you won’t even feel Me until you experience My peace in your life. I am like a Dove. I do not always come with violent manifestations or emotional outbursts. Sometimes I come with a quiet voice and whispered conversation. Be still; get quiet; and wait for Me.

Holy Spirit, I receive You as a gentle Dove. Guide me to be gentle with

my words and gentle with my actions. Transform me to be like You. Amen.
