Middle school and High school are pivotal points in everyone’s life. We want VFC to be a place of community and discipleship where students can encounter Jesus in a powerful way. We want you to know that the student ministry of Vaughn Forest is ready for you! It’s our desire to reach this generation of students in the name of Jesus and live lives that honor God while impacting the culture around them, to the glory of God!
Sunday Morning
Our VF Students meet every Sunday morning on the third floor Student Room. Middle School students meet at 9:30 AM and High School students meet at 11 AM.
This is a unique opportunity to form lasting relationships with God and with fellow students, and leaders. Students also have the opportunity to find community in small groups! These groups, each led by an adult life group leader, will provide space for students to hear the gospel on their level, and dive deeper into the lesson taught that day.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Midweek Groups are small groups that meet 1st and 3rd Wednesday night for food, fellowship, and Bible study. Students meet in either a girls group or guys group for middle or high school.
On 2nd Wednesday, students gather together for our worship night, Engage. Students get the opportunity to experience a night of worship, hear from God’s Word, and leave challenged to grow in their walk with Jesus.
SPECIAL EVENTS
On 4th Wednesday, students come to enjoy exciting events filled with fun! From Color Wars and Glow Night to Back to School Bash and Human vs Zombies, students get the chance to invite their friends to an inviting atmosphere where they can meet other students and find community.
Camps & Trips
In June and January our VF Students enjoy all kinds of fun at Crossroads Summer Camp and Winter Conference. Meet the Leaders
Matt Aldridge
Student Pastor
Matt Aldridge began serving as the VF Student Pastor at the end of 2022. He received his bachelors degree from the University of North Alabama. He and his wife, Jessie, have been serving in student ministry for 8 years. Matt is passionate about discipleship and engaging, energizing, and equipping students.
Emily Alderman
NextGen Resident
Emily Alderman joined the student team as a NextGen Resident in the fall of 2023. Emily graduated from Lee University with a degree in Business Management and is currently attending Dallas Theological Seminary to earn her Masters in Christian Education. She has a heart for girls growing in Christ and equipping the next generation to fall in love with Jesus.
