IN THEIR OWN WORDS…

Hear from military families who have become part of the Vaughn Forest family while stationed here in Montgomery and the Pike Road Area.
“Vaughn Forest Church has the services and facilities of a large church with the personal connections of a small church. They really understand what it is like for military couples to PCS to a new place and try to get plugged in to the local community. Several vaughn forest staff members and volunteers are either currently in the military or veterans/retirees and that really helps in getting to know folks that have walked in your shoes before. Also, vaughn forest is a racially diverse church with significant numbers of members who are black, asian, white, and hispanic, so my wife and I feel comfortable attending here as an interracial couple. In addition, if you live in deer creek or pike road, the location is very convenient so you can get there quickly and not have to fight traffic. Whether you are single or married, a ‘geo-bachelor’ or have a big family, vaughn forest church has the relationships and activities to keep your spiritual walk going strong while you serve in the area.”
Alfred Maynard
“As a military family new to the area, we were looking for a church that was bible-based, had a close community of believers and offered a strong children’s ministry. Vaughn Forest provided all these things and more. Our kids love the children’s ministry, we found and joined a life group that has encouraged us in our faith and we feel Vaughn Forest is actively working to reach Montgomery for Christ. There are also a lot of active duty and retired military at Vaughn Forest which has made it easy for us to connect with this church. We are very blessed and fortunate to be apart of this community of believers.”
Buck Gardenier
“Vaughn Forest is a dynamic and thriving bible-based church!! As an active duty military family with 12 PCS moves, we fully understand that our time in one location goes by too fast. As such, we actively look for a church where we can quickly “plug-in.” we’ve found everything we need at Vaughn: a welcoming Sunday morning bible study, an authentic life group, and a vibrant children’s ministry. Whether in Montgomery for a year for school or a 3 year tour, vaughn forest provides many opportunities to get “plugged in” and serve.”
Colin Sindol
“When we first visited Vaughn Forest Church we were genuinely welcomed and enjoyed the relevant biblical teaching and worship. The preschool staff quickly learned about our family and cared enough to message us if our kids were sick and missed a service. Serving in the youth ministry and hosting an adult life group was how we truly got involved and helped us really connect and make disciples. Vaughn Forest has been an incredible church where we made many friends and grew much stronger in christ; leaving Vaughn will be one of the hardest parts of our next PCS.”
